Context
The creation of ArtElevate helps artists increase visibility and sales, and connect with galleries. The app offers solutions like visibility enhancement, a simplified sales process, and networking tools to empower artists in the digital marketplace.
As a UX designer, through research, I aim to identify key issues artists face online, such as low exposure and complex sales logistics. My role is to bridge the gap between users and technology, crafting a visually appealing and functional product.
Problem
Artists struggle to effectively market their work as current platforms do not adequately connect them with potential buyers or galleries. There is a need for an improved online platform that simplifies these connections, enhancing artists' visibility and income opportunities.
Understanding the User
User Research
Initially, I conducted user research—which included surveys, interviews, and market analysis—suggested that visibility was the main issue artists faced.
Feedback highlighted the artists' preference for a user-friendly platform to exhibit and sell their artwork, which informed the development direction.
Pain Points
Competitive Research
Product Goals
To create a thriving community where artists can succeed and expand their reach in the digital art market.
Solution Approach
Feature and Design Considerations
To address these pain points, our app will incorporate the following solutions:
Networking features that enable artists to create profiles and collaborate with other artists and collectors.
Streamlined sales process with secure payment gateways, transparent shipping options, and insurance provisions for artwork during transit.
A dynamic visibility engine that elevates artist profiles based on user engagement and preferences.
An integrated pricing tool that helps artists set competitive prices based on market data and similar works.

To Further Develop the Case Study..
I'd really dive into testing how user-friendly the app is and tweak the design based on what people say. Then, I'd try out the app with a few real users to see if it really hits the mark, making sure to keep track of any changes or new ideas that come up, so the app keeps getting better and stays on track with what users need.
