I recently had the chance to volunteer at the Techstars Startup Weekend Boston, held at the Harvard Innovation Labs. As a product designer for Founderway, I joined this exciting event where new founders came together for a 3-day competition. The goal was for them to form teams, develop startup ideas, and pitch them on the final day.
My main role was to introduce our business canvas model and show how our AI-powered platform could help the teams refine their ideas. It was amazing to see people using the designs I had worked on and to watch them interact with our platform. This experience gave me valuable insights into what worked well and what could be improved.
One of the highlights was seeing how our platform helped participants. I learned a lot about the challenges they faced and how they used our tools to overcome them. This feedback is crucial for making our product better.
The event was also a great chance to meet a variety of people, from other designers and developers to new entrepreneurs and experienced mentors. Talking with them gave me new ideas and perspectives on innovation and startups.
Overall, volunteering at the Techstars Startup Weekend Boston was incredibly rewarding. It was inspiring to support passionate teams and see their creativity in action. This experience reinforced the importance of user feedback and continuous improvement. I’m excited to use what I’ve learned to enhance our platform and continue helping innovators bring their ideas to life.
